Cellulite is the persistent fat caught in between bands of connective tissue resulting in a uneven lumpy appearance about the hips, buttocks and thighs of most women and even some men.

Ninety percent of ladies have it. While hormones and age do play a role in the developing cellulite, they aren’t completely limiting factors. Cellulite can be reduced at any age.

Remedies

1. The first and most essential thing you are able to do for cellulite reduction is exercise. Exercise might be broken down into Cardiovascular Physical exercise and Muscular Strength and Conditioning Exercise.

– Cardiovascular Exercise will help you to burn calories and lose some of the fat that’s caught between the bands of connective tissue. In order for cardiovascular exercise to become effective, you must manage to fit in at least 30 minutes, 3 times per week. This 30 minute interval may be broken down into three 10 minute segments, two 15 minute segments or one 30 minute segment. Keep in mind that your metabolism stays elevated for a few hours after you do your cardiovascular physical exercise, so you continue to burn more calories even following you are finished. Cardiovascular exercise also helps to increase circulation which is essential to reducing the appearance of cellulite.

– Muscular strength and conditioning exercises will increase muscle tone within the cellulite prone places and result in a smoother much more attractive look. Picture a freshly filled balloon. It is full of air and as a result really smooth. Now consider the skin covering your cellulite prone places like the balloon. If you have plenty of nice muscle tissue underneath, it will press up about the fat that’s underneath and make it appear smoother. If you’re a woman, don’t be afraid in becoming too muscular from strength training.

2. The next treatment for cellulite reduction is diet. It’s crucial to decrease or eliminate white sugar and white flour. This does not meant you cut out carbohydrates. It simply means to look for whole grain products rather than ones which are made from white sugar. Try to include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet everyday. Whole fruits and vegetables contain fiber that is really essential in regulating your digestive system. Try to drink lots of water as opposed to drinking fruit juices and soft drinks.

3. There are lots of kinds of remedies that help to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Some of these treatments are done in medical spas or are performed by dermatologists. The availability of these treatments varies by location. A list of cellulite remedies includes Endermologie, massage, body wraps and Velasmooth. Velasmooth is the first cellulite therapy to be approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration in the United States).  There are home devices that claim to decrease cellulite that vary in cost and effectiveness. Many cosmetic companies provide topical treatments that may also reduce the appearance of cellulite. Be certain to check the ingredients for substances that might result in an allergic reaction due to user sensitivity.

Cellulite Treatments

I have a little bit of cellulite that really bothers me on the backs of my thighs only. I know that almost 100% of women suffer from the same thing, so I’d like to know if any girls out there have had any success with any type of lotions, massage, or treatments? I’d love to hear your story! Hi, hon — I’m glad you asked, because I have a system that worked really well for me. Here’s my cellulite treatment program: 1. Lunges and squats 3x a week (about 30 minutes) 2. Dry brushing about 15-20 minutes, every night while I watch TV 3. Cellulite cream. I know some people are skeptical but I’ve had great results from cellulite cream. Good luck, hon — be sure to come back and let us know what works for you!
